The leading U.S. training and development organization for communications professionals. 2025 marked the fourth annual Women's Retreat Lofti co-created with the CEO which empowers women in the industry while serving as a funnel into the Ragan Leadership Council.

The challenge

The biggest tension in the room was vulnerability around AI, specifically how leaders would adapt, what it meant for their roles, and how to build the peer group they needed in this moment of industry-wide change.

Attendees were looking to Ragan to help them understand the industry response and leverage new technology strategically.

What we designed

A 2.5-day arc at the Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach. Custom playlist on arrival, alpaca wrap gifts, CEO-to-CEO fireside chats, small-group sessions on talent/resilience/innovation, sound bath meditation, and 5-minute breathwork moments built throughout so leaders learned grounding techniques in real time.

Each attendee participated in 1:1 well-being coaching before arrival and completed the pre-retreat survey. Their stated priorities were clear:

The arc we designed

A two-day program built around contemplative practice and embodied breakthrough: opening gong ceremony, Kintsugi pottery as meditation on change and imperfection, equine therapy to unlock communication dynamics, aquatic sound bath, "Design Your Dream Year" facilitated by Karianne, leather-and-stitch journaling workshop, and a closing gong ceremony to carry intentions forward.
